SlangTranslate

Terms

Use the translation as context, not proof.

Interpretive results

Slang meanings vary across communities, regions, age groups, and conversations. Results are informed interpretations and may be incomplete or wrong. Tone labels do not prove someone’s intent or emotional state.

Your content

Only submit content you have the right to share. Do not use SlangTranslate to harass people, expose private information, or make high-stakes decisions about another person.

Community language memories

By submitting a phrase claim, you confirm that you wrote the account or have permission to share it. You give SlangTranslate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, edit for safety and clarity, display, reproduce, and use the submission to improve slang explanations and the archive. That license may transfer with SlangTranslate if the product or business is sold. You retain any rights you already hold and may request removal through the contact form. Removal from future display does not require undoing uses already completed before the request.

A claim records your community’s remembered use; it is not a trademark filing, exclusive ownership right, or proof of first-ever invention. SlangTranslate may decline, edit, label, or remove submissions.

Feedback and corrections

Definition feedback may be reviewed and used to improve the library and translation engine. Do not include private information about another person.

No sensitive-trait conclusions

Language alone should not be used to infer race, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, politics, health, or other sensitive traits. The service is designed not to make those claims.

Moderation and misuse

Community submissions are reviewed before public publication. Spam, impersonation, private information, harassment, and intentionally misleading definitions may be rejected or removed.

Service availability

The service may change or pause as the product develops. These terms are an operational starting point and should be reviewed by qualified counsel as the service grows.
