SlangTranslate

Privacy

Private conversations deserve care.

SlangTranslate processes the content you choose to submit so it can provide a translation. Do not upload anything you are not comfortable sharing for analysis.

Search text

Search text is sent securely to OpenAI for analysis. SlangTranslate requests that generated responses are not stored by setting store: false. The app does not write raw search text to its own database.

Community submissions

Library definitions and phrase claims are saved for owner review. If approved, the phrase, meaning, story details supplied, chosen display name, submission date, and public source link may appear in the Library or Community Archive. A one-way fingerprint derived from an account or network identifier is kept privately for abuse prevention; the raw network address is not stored in the submission record. Do not include a precise address or name another person without permission.

Analytics

The app records limited product events including page visits, search attempts, completed translations, errors, feedback, and community submissions. A one-way daily fingerprint derived from an account or network identifier estimates unique visitors; the raw network address and raw search text are not included in analytics events.

Public examples

Submitted private conversations are not reused as public examples. Demonstration conversations on the site are fictional.

Feedback and contact messages

Accuracy corrections may include the note you write and up to 500 characters of the phrase being corrected. Contact messages include the name, email, topic, and message you submit. These records are kept privately for review.

Contact, access, and removal

Use the contact form or email VerdellVision@gmail.com for privacy questions or to request access, correction, or removal of a community submission.
